Lives and trains: in Swansea.
Training under Chris Jones, Ritchie has made considerable improvements in his swimming, his weakest discipline. There is no ‘quick fix’ solution. His continued dedication to improving will be essential to bring his swim performance up to the level of his biking and his formidable running.
Winning the European U23 Championships was a Team GB effort. Down by a minute after the swim, Ritchie was helped by his two team mates to ride up to the lead group. He took control of the race on the run and won by ten seconds. Working with Chris in Swansea, Ritchie is in the best place to improve his swimming to the necessary level.
